  Hale Puako was the perfect spot for our family. We have to older teenagers so the detached master bedroom was great! Being right on the water was fantastic. It can get very windy and since there are not traditional windows, you will hear it loudly. We would definitely stay there again and would recommend the house to anyone who is looking for a casual beach experience.

  We have been visiting Puako for many years staying both in the Condos and other waterfront locations. They have all been wonderful. However I must say that Hale Puako has been the best yet for our family of three. The location is superb and the house, although older, is in great condition. We had an internet problem that was fixed very quickly by Mary and the cable person. I would highly recommend this lovely location, We have signed up already for next year.

  Great location, with amazing views from every room in the house. Great layout and space for family dinners in the open lanai area, swam with turtles, right outside the patio.   Such a unique and special home. The views are amazing! It had everything we needed for meals at home. Access to the water is steps from the back door. I wish that we had had less wind during our visit, but at least we could look out at the gorgeous views on the days it was too windy to be out swimming. If you are looking for a rustic,laid back Hawaiian experience,this home is really enjoyable. Works especially well with 2 couples traveling together.

  Our family loved this little home. It's situated right on a private beach where you can find sea turtles swimming much of the day. It's a quiet spot away from hotels. The street nearby has very little traffic and is quite safe to walk or jog along. With the market 5 minutes walk away, you can find some nice sandwiches for a picnic lunch on the beach. The house itself has 2 bedrooms, along with a loft with twin beds. It's not been recently renovated but is charming and comfortable. We loved this house for the location, and the price is reasonable. We would definitely stay here again.
